Often the way small businesses decide upon and deploy IT infrastructure is reactive rather than considered. A 'just get it working and leave it alone' approach can result in a collection of computer and networking equipment that's hung together but the way each device is configured, or the way it's connected together is rarely documented. This leaves a problem when it comes to making any changes which needs to be filled by having the setup from start to finish documented.
